The modern era is characterized by many variables and challenges, whether locally, regionally or globally, which are reflected in the roles and responsibilities of the teacher. The teacher is no longer a mere dominator, a tutor, a transmitter of knowledge and a keeper of order in the classroom, but rather has become a facilitator, an expert, a guide, a leader, and a builder of thinking and creativity among students. Proceeding from the role of the educational system in the society in creating positive interaction with the social and cultural environment and strengthening the sense of responsibility, training and qualifying teachers has become a necessity to keep pace with the developments and updates happening in the knowledge structure, teaching techniques and its various methods. We also emphasize the importance of the teacher’s professional growth as it is the most important element in the educational process.
